About:
Katie Churchill is an occupational therapist and health system leader who has practiced across the continuum of care for health systems in Ontario and Alberta. She has held provincial leadership positions with Alberta Health Services and the Rehabilitative Care Alliance and is now a Director of the regional sub-acute network and clinical services planning with Bruyère Health.
Churchill is passionate about advancing evidence-based practice and elevating the profile of rehabilitative care within the health system. She’s a lifelong learner and is actively involved in research and knowledge translation through her academic appointments with the University of Toronto, Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.
Over her career, she’s been active in a variety of research activities such as the University of Toronto Rehabilitation Science Research Network for COVID and was a founding member of the Canadian Practice-Based Research and Innovation Network (CP-BRaIN).

Rehabilitation, health-system planning, models of care, tele-rehab, implementation science, patient-engagement.
