Independent Apartments

Our Villas have been designed for seniors who are able to perform their daily living activities without assistance while enjoying full access to the Bruyère Health Village grounds and amenities.

 

Each apartment features a private bathroom with an oversized walk-in shower, a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, in addition to individual heating and cooling controls for year-round comfort.

Bruyère Health The Villas Senior Living consist of three, three-storey apartment buildings adjacent to the City of Ottawa’s multi-use pathway. We have a total of 78 independent living apartments available.

 

  • All our buildings are equipped with a secured entry lobby, an elevator and a mailbox area
  • Each of our buildings offer a guest suite for overnight stays and an entertaining lounge. Our basements are equipped with a common laundry room and storage lockers
  • We provide outdoor parking adjacent to each building for our tenants and their visitors
  • We designed Villa 901 with large outdoor balconies

Bruyère Health The Villas Senior Living offer the following types of independent apartments:

Full-market apartments 

Our spacious independent apartments are available as one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom plus den. Each of our apartments includes a washer and dryer. Full-market rental rates start from $2200 per month, please call 613-683-2508 for more information.

 

Average Market Rent: 14 apartments

The Average Market Rent (AMR) program is established to be affordable to moderate income households. Rent in these apartments is fixed to the average market rent as proposed by the Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation (CMHC) annually. Our leasing and tenant relations coordinator coordinates the applications for these apartments.

 

Affordable housing apartments

These apartments vary from one-bedroom to one-bedroom plus den. The Social Housing Registry of Ottawa determines the application and eligibility of tenants. Below Market Rent: 25 apartments

The  Below Market Rent (BMR) program is established to be affordable to low and moderate-income households. Rent in these apartments is fixed at approximately 80 percent of the average market rent, as posted by the CMHC annually.

 

Rent geared to income: 6 apartments

We offer rent geared to income apartments at a rate geared to the income of the tenant, through a monthly subsidy from the City of Ottawa.
