Therapeutic Recreational Services

Bruyère  is committed to helping enable patients and residents with physical, cognitive, emotional,or social limitations to acquire and maintain skills, which allow them to enjoy their leisure and, function independently as much as possible.

Our Therapeutic Recreation team works with patients, residents and their family to determine the most appropriate support that reflects their individual leisure needs and interests.

Patients and families will receive a monthly calendar outlining opportunities for involvement in a range of fun and social activities that often include:

• Painting
• Horticulture
• Music appreciation
• Exercises
• Games
• Bingo
• Social tea
• Relaxation sessions
• Movies
• Outings on a wheelchair-accessible bus
