Function SummaryAs a member of the interdisciplinary team, the role of the Registered Nurse (RN) at Bruyère is to deliver safe, effective, patient/resident-centered, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care. The overall function of the RN is to assist patients/residents and their families to manage clinical conditions and transitions and maximize their self-care, psychosocial, spiritual, communicative and interpretive abilities. The RN also acts as a resource for members of the care team. Is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère. Is committed to patient resident and staff safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement.
Required Qualifications- Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate
- Demonstrated knowledge of a continuous quality improvement philosophy and its application
- Current technical skills
- Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement.)
Preferred Qualifications- Membership in Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
- Motivation towards professional growth and development
- Superior communications, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills

- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team, to work under pressure and to adapt to change
- Gerontology certification and current physical assessment skills certification
